Any individual (who is a seed grower) who has attained the age of 18 years irrespective of caste, creed, religion or sex or institution or Company engaged in the business of production or distribution of seeds, may apply for admission to the Membership of the Association. The application should be made in the form prescribed by the Managing Committee and the Managing committee may, in it's sole discretion, accept or reject the application without assigning any reasons. The Managing Committee will have the right to increase the amount of entrance fees and annual fees from time to time for each category of Membership as they deem fit.
 
There will be five categories of Membership viz.,
Patron Members
Founder Members
Honorary Members
Institutional Members
Associate Members

Patron Members Top
Any individual or organization with a strong social commitment in the development of Seed Industry and keen desire to associate with the activities of the Association shall apply to the Association to become a Patron Member in the prescribed form together with the payment of entrance fee of Rs. 1,00,000/- and on approval of his/its admission by the Managing Committee, he/it will be admitted as a Patron Member of the Association.

Founder Members Top
The subscribers to the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Association shall be the Founder Members. In recognition of their initiative and efforts put in for the formation of the Association, under these presents both the subscribers shall become Permanent Members of each successive Managing Committee during their life time not liable to retire by rotation at the Annual General Meetings.

Honorary Members Top
Any distinguished visitor to the local area or any other person of distinction, who has high reputation connected with different tracts of agricultural activities or associated with research activities of Seed Industry who is eager or interested to take part in the activities of the Association and who is otherwise eligible for admission to Membership may be made an Honorary Member by the Managing Committee for such period as the Managing Committee thinks fit.

Institutional Members Top
Any company, firm, association, trust, or body corporate or any other type of organization meeting with the requirement of membership criteria specified above, can become an Institutional Member by making an application to the Association in the prescribed form together with payment of entrance fee of Rs. 25,000/- and upon approval of its admission by the Managing Committee of the Association , it will be admitted as an Institutional Member. Any Institutional Member may nominate its representative, in writing, who shall be not below the rank of the Senior Executive or Office Bearer and subject to the approval of his nomination by the Managing Committee of the company, the Nominee Representative activities of the Association. The Institutional Members and their Nominees will be governed by these Articles.

Associate Members Top
It will be within the competence of the Managing Committee to admit anyone associated or connected with agriculture as an Associate Member upon the payment of entrance fee of Rs.5,000/- for such period and on such terms and conditions as the Managing Committee may prescribe from time to time.
 
 
Total Number of Members:

The Membership of the Association in all categories together shall not exceed 50 in number.
 
Compliance with Rules and Regulations and Decisions:

All Members shall be bound by the Rules and Regulations and decisions and By-laws which may be made by the General Meeting or the Managing Committee of the Association from time to time pursuant to the powers vested in it by this constitution.
 
Termination of Membership:

A Member shall cease to be a Member of the Association as follow:
 
If, by letter addressed to the Secretary he voluntarily resigns Membership and pays all debts due by him to the Association ; or
If he is found guilty by a Competent Court of any offense involving moral turpitude; or
On failure to pay debts due to the Association after his name has been posted for non-payment under sub-clause 6(i) hereof; and
If he is adjusted as an insolvent or becomes of unsound mind or in the case of the company or corporation or firm upon dissolution of winding up.
 
Annual Fee:

Members shall be liable to pay to Association such Annual Fee as may be decided by the Managing committee from time to time. The Annual Membership fees for each category shall not be less than Rs.2,500/-.
 
Register of Membership:

A Register of Members shall be kept in which shall be set-forth the names, occupations, nationalities and addresses of the Members for the time being and the date on which a Member is admitted or ceased to be a Member as also all other changes relating to changes in Membership particulars from time to time.
 
CERTIFICATE OF MEMBERSHIP
 
Issue of Certificate:
 
Certificate of Membership of the Association shall be issued under the seal of the Association and signed in such manner as the Managing Committee shall prescribe and shall be produced to the Managing Committee or any official of the Association deputed for the purpose as and when the Managing Committee may require.

If any certificate be worn out or defaced then, upon production thereof to the Managing Committee, the Managing Committee may order the same to be cancelled and may issue a new certificate then, upon proof thereof and on such indemnity as the Managing Committee may deem adequate being given, a new certificate in lieu thereof shall be given to the party entitled to such lost or destroyed certificate.

For every fresh certificate issued, a sum of Rupee one or such other sum as the Managing Committee may, under the last preceding clause from time to time, determine shall be paid to the Association.
When any Members of the Association shall cease to be a Member, his certificate of right of Membership and all his rights and privileges as a Member shall cease and shall become the property of the Association.
A certificate of right of Membership which is forfeited to or vest in the Association shall belong absolutely to the Association, free from all rights, claims or interest of such Members or any person claiming through or under him and the Managing Committee shall be entitled to deal with or dispose of the said certificate or rights as they shall think it.
